Terms and Conditions

The AUSDRISK screening tool is not a clinical analysis. It is a screening tool that will give an estimate on a person’s [type 2] diabetes risk, promote a greater understanding of the major risk factors for [type 2] diabetes, and help to identify people who are most at risk. It is not a substitute for medical advice. You may still develop [type 2] diabetes even if you have none of these risk factors or demonstrate a low risk score.

Care has been taken in compiling AUSDRISK, however AUSDRISK may not reflect the most recent developments or medical knowledge relating to diabetes.

A person receiving a high risk result should see their doctor for a clinical test. A high risk result does not mean that an individual has diabetes.

The screening tool is owned by the Australian Government and should not be altered, reproduced or redistributed without the authority of the Australian Government.

You need not disclose your identity in order to use the screening tool. Data collected from the screening tool may be used for statistical and research purposes. We will not disclose any personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address and other data that identifies you) to business partners or third parties. Information may be provided to State/Territory diabetes organisations for follow up assistance and support.

We take reasonable steps to protect all information which we hold (including personal and sensitive information) from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
